Residential Flower Mound
Private driveway gates west of 2499
Away from the master-planned neighborhoods, Flower Mound still has substantial acreage — particularly toward the Lake Grapevine side and the older tracts near Shiloh Road and Gerault. These properties look more like our Argyle work: longer driveways, wind-exposed entrances, and power that has to be run rather than assumed.
The town's terrain also matters. Flower Mound is genuinely hilly compared with the flat prairie to the east, and a driveway that slopes up from the street will not accept a conventional swing gate without either rising hinges, a regrade, or a change to a slide arrangement. We cover that problem in detail on our Keller page, where the same terrain issue is even more pronounced.
Soils here sit near the boundary between the sandy Cross Timbers and the stiffer Grand Prairie limestone, so footing conditions can change noticeably between one side of town and the other — which is a good reason not to assume a standard post detail works everywhere in the same ZIP code.
